If you're looking for substance, watch any in-depth interview that Devo has participated in and you will find the band's 'substance' overtly layed out in front of you. Music is only a single facet to what Devo is actually about; to what it really represents, which is pro-information, pro-self-expression, pro-self-creation.

The fact that men as aged as the artists in Devo can still generate something so intense that it "can't be listened to everyday" is a token all it's own. Of course, 'Cameo' and 'March On' were definitely misses- but how much less substance could this album have than the latest Lady GaGa album that topping charts world wide?

Neither of these men know as much about music (or the business therein) as the artists they're talking about. They're too young, for starters. The fact of the matter is, this is the best album Devo has put out in a long time- completely overlapping "Smooth Noodle Maps" and the like.

Talk about a generic review for such an important band. "I like it, but no substance. Oh look, they're old enough to be our grandpas." No mention of who Devo are or their concept, it's like those people who've only heard "Whip It" then dismiss them as some mindless novelty act. For shame.
